In the year 2954: After the fourth global resource conflict ended without victory, the remaining humanoid life forms left their homesteads.

Affected by the somber realisation that the resources necessary for survival were used up on Terra, the surviving human race began to reach for the stars - first tentatively, then with ever increasing determination and speed.

The deprivations of the old earth were burned into the back of their heads of the first galactic settlers

Never again should their descendants be forced to live under such circumstances

They were ready to sacrifice everything for it.

The values and goals of the even before the war already shattered old terran confederation crumbled to insignificance.

The problem of fair distribution of scarce resources belonged to the past. New challenges had emerged.

How could intersteller travel take place within reasonable time periods?

How could the separated human race overcome their past and face the future?

The communication links between the groups were lost.

Generations of settlers spent their lifetimes on board their new home, the mother ships.

From their families emerged powerful houses, who managed their lands and planet clusters.

Technologies have been discovered and utilized.

Each small ship had its own displacement field drive and an optronic navigation unit.

It was a time of technological revolution and initial expansion.

It was a time of absolutistic sovereignity: Emperors cared for their realms, they did not tolerate conspiracy within their ranks.

As tribute they demanded the unconditional execution of their orders.

They where obsessed with power and filled with an insatiable will to expand.
